Cummins and ChongQing Electromechanical Cooperate to a New L

Vice Chairman of Cummins (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Wang Hongjie, general manager of high horsepower engine and customer support, and Yu Gang, general manager of Chongqing Electromechanical Co., Ltd. signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the two companies respectively. Wu Jieming, standing member of the Chongqing municipal party committee and executive deputy mayor, Wang Yuxiang, chairman of Chongqing Electromechanical Co., Ltd., and Ed Pence, Cummins’ global vice president in charge of high-power business, witnessed the signing of the contract.
        Founded in 1995, Cummins Chongqing is Cummins' first engine joint venture factory in China and the only large-horsepower engine manufacturer. With the joint efforts of both parties, Chongqing Cummins has made tremendous progress: The annual sales of engines have grown from the initial RMB 300 million in 1995 to RMB 3.25 billion in 2012. The excellent quality and excellent performance of the engine have won the trust of customers and are widely used in construction machinery, oilfield factories, mines and power generation equipment.
